Crossbar Contacts
Although crossbar contacts use expensive precious
metals, economic pricing has been achieved by reducing the amounts of
these metals used. For easier welding to spring materials of copper alloys,
contacts adopt precious metals laminated to phosphor bronze or Cu-Ni alloy.
An example of production methods is shown below.

Examples of typical shapes of the contacts produced like the
above are shown below. Triple-layer contacts are made by laminating
Au alloys to the second layer of Pd and Pd alloys, and Ag
and Ag alloys. Triple-layer contacts are mainly used to stabilize
contact resistance in the region of micro current load.
