Component Materials, Dimensions and Applications
Crossbar contacts are presently available for
double layers to quintuple layers, 0.11-2.0mm high and 0.3-3.8mm
wide. They are widely used for relays in telecommunication
and electric equipment and power relays. Their component materials,
dimensions and applications are shown below.
The characteristics of crossbar contacts are as follows:
|
-
|
surfaces are clean and flat |
| - |
capable of bonding required quantity of the materials with different properties where it is required |
| - |
able to have a wide range of load properties
by multi-lamination |
| - |
easily processed to twin contacts which
give high contact reliability |
| - |
capable of increasing the operation rate
by supplying longer tape |
